A re-interpretation of the exotic event observed in the cosmic ray at Yunnan Cosmic Ray Station

【摘要】:正 The exotic event observed in 1972 at Yunan Cosmic Ray Station (YCRS) has been re-interpreted as a collision between a high energy heavy particle with a nucleon. with three charged particles identified as the final products. If no other missing neutral particles were produced in this collision, then one of the three particles C- could be assigned with mass Mcd45 GeV. and life-time . If C- is unstable it can decay via weak interaction to C0 and a pair of lepions. the mass difference between C- and C is estimated as less than 0.270GeV The relevance of this event to the dark matter problem in the Universe is also discussed.
