Based upon the current situations, the paper also attempts to develop a foreign language education system to solve problems in theoretical research, teacher education and talents cultivation. In accordance with the principles of localization, diversity and development, this system covers three dimensions, i.e. foreign language education research, teacher education and talents cultivation. The authors advocate that measures should be taken to carry out theoretical research of practical value and with Chinese characteristics. The authors also launch an inquiry into teacher education from the perspectives of administrative branches at different levels, work units and foreign language teachers themselves, in order to produce the teachers who are learned, responsible and reflective. In addition, with the consideration of diversity, systematization and modernity in foreign language talents cultivation, the authors further suggest that teaching reform be advanced on the basis of social requirements and modern education technology, to develop academic and practical talents with virtue and knowledge, and with the ability to learn, to practice and to create. 【Keyword】:construction;Chinese characteristics;foreign language education;system |
