| | | | | 《孔子语录一百则》英译赏析 | | | 高嘉正,高菁 | | | 孔子思想是我国文化的主要源头之一。在弘扬我国传统文化的过程中,诸多《论语》英译本亦应运而生。本文拟从三个侧面探讨丁往道教授英译的《孔子语录一百则》,着重讨论其译文的三大特色,即译义确切、通俗易懂及行文简洁,并由此得出结论:丁译乃是《论语》英译中的精品。

我国的文化博大精深,蔚为大观,为世界各国所罕有。而孔子的思想,即是我国文化的主要源头之一。讲起中国文化,必然会想到孔子,提起孔子,必然会言及《论语》。为弘扬我国文化,在给英语专业高年级学生及研究生讲授翻译及其他英语课程时,除引用西方先哲时贤的名言外,笔者还不时“发思古之幽情”,将“子曰诗云”作为例证。笔者自愧学力有限,自己的即席英译只能逢场作戏,偶一为之。对于经典中的经典《论语》,窃以为应该配之以权威性的英译,否则,惟恐对他老夫子多有失敬,亦疑对学子们有所误导。因而,笔者翻阅了一些《论语》英译,希望觅得理想的版本… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | Briefly on the English Translation of “100 Sayings of Confucius” | | | GAO Jia-zheng & GAO Jing(Foreign Language School;Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade;Shanghai 200336;China) | | | Confucianism is one of the major sources of the Chinese culture. In the process of developing our traditional culture, various English versions of “The Analects” emerge in a favorable situation. This paper is intended to approach the English version of “100 Sayings of Confucius” translated by Prof. Ding Wangdao in three perspectives, discussing its three main features, that is, faithfulness in translation, plainness in style and succinctness in wording, so as to conclude that Ding's is a gem among the English versions of “The Analects”.
