| | | | | 英文新闻标题及其翻译策略 | | | 廖志勤 | | | 现代社会,人们了解信息、获取信息往往要借助媒体手段。新闻报道作为信息传播的主要途径,倍受人们的青睐和关注。本文通过大量实例,从英文新闻标题的结构、时态、语态及其文体特点层面对英文新闻标题进行研究,认为英文新闻标题具有简洁精练、形象生动、幽默诙谐、句型结构较固定的特点,并提出对译、增译和省译三种翻译策略,旨在表明英文新闻标题汉译不仅需要译者的语言、文化、艺术的综合能力、文字搭配创造性和想象力,而且更要考虑读者的审美情趣和接受能力。

1引言“看书先看皮,看报先看题”,这是不争的事实。根据中国人民大学舆论研究所多次读者调查表明,“先浏览一遍新闻标题,再选有兴趣的看”是读者阅读报纸的基本习惯。由此,不难看出新闻标题的重要性,因为它是新闻内容的概括和浓缩,是最短的评论。新闻标题表达新闻的主题和主题思想,同时又表达标题作者的评价和判断,或肯定、或否定、或表扬、或批评。它是新闻的眼睛,好的新闻标题,对新闻有画龙点睛的作用;它也是新闻的广告,好的新闻标题,不但能给新闻锦上添花,还能激发读者的好奇心,钩起读者看正文的欲望。标题的作用就在于帮助读者选择新闻… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | Strategies for Translating English News Headlines | | | LIAO Zhiqin | | | A close examination of the overall structures,tenses,voices of English news headlines reveals the most salient stylistic features of the genre;headlines are concise,expressive,and sometimes humorous with certain language patterns.This paper puts forward three strategies for translating news headlines,namely equivalence,amplification and omission and argues that a good translation of English news headlines depends not only on translators' competence such as a good command of English and Chinese,their cultural and other related knowledge,their creativeness and imaginativeness in diction,but also on their judgment of the target readers' aesthetic tendency and reception.
