The author presents in the book both users' and translators' perspectives on translation and argues for attention given to different memory patterns and learning styles in translator training. The author believes that translation takes place in three stages- translate, edit and sublimate. Also special about the book is the inclusion of exercises at the end of each chapter, which can be handy for both translation teachers and students.
