| | | | | 医学英语文章定语从句和同位语的翻译 | | | 邱海林,张开平 | | | 定语从句和同位语是英语句子中最常见的语法修饰形式 ,是基本句子的扩展 ,在医学英语文章中使用频率相当高。定语从句或同位语往往使句子变得很长 ,结构更加复杂 ,给理解和翻译造成极大困难。如果译者对原文理解不深、不透 ,句子的语法结构未完全弄清楚或翻译时处理不当 ,就会使译文与原文的本义相差很远 ,甚至完全误译。本文根据笔者在教学中遇到的一些复杂的英文句子和学生翻译时出现的典型错误进行分析 ,并讨论医学英语文章中最常用的定语从句和同位语的翻译方法

1 引 言修饰成分是英语句子中最常见的语法形式 ,在医学英语文章中使用频率很高 ,是阅读者和翻译者感到非常困难的句子成分 ,对其正确理解是翻译工作的重要前提。修饰成分在医学英语文章中的语法结构有 :定语从句、同位语及同位语从句、分词独立结构、介词短语、形容词短语以及不定式短语等。这些从句和短语在句子中起补充或具体说明等作用 ,由此会使句子变得很长、结构更复杂 ,让翻译者在翻译时很难把句子译得通顺、得体。笔者在教学过程中常常碰到这类句子 ,学生在翻译时总是顾此失彼、语句不通 ,甚至译出一些笑话。本文仅从翻译角度 ,… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | Translating Attributive Clauses and Appositives in English Medical Articles | | | Qiu Hailin and Zhang Kaiping | | | Attributive clauses and appositives are the most common English modifiers. Frequ ently used in English medical articles, they produce longer and more complicated sentence structures, hence making the comprehension and translation of such art icles very difficult. If one doesn't quite well understand the original English text and its grammatical structure, loss of meaning in translation and even mist ranslation will be inevitable. This paper analyzes some complicated English sent ences selected from the medical books used in my teaching as well as students' t ranslation errors and discusses the translation methods of the most commonly_us ed attributive clauses and appositives in English medical articles.
