And it also explores the changes of the IPA , whose purpose is to help the teachers and students in China understand Gimson's system of transcription better, and use it correctly. As a result, it can lessen the confusion possible which several systems bring to the learners. Meanwhile, the paper explores the changes of the Received Pronunciation (RP ) , including changes well-established , changes almost complete , recent innovations and innovations on the verge of RP. It will show the learners that RP is not invariable. The English learners should adapt themselves to these changes.
