从梵汉对勘的角度来考释佛经语词,是近年学界所提倡的一种新的行之有效的方法。佛 经是从梵文翻译过来的,①梵汉对勘就是要找出汉译佛典中的某个语词在梵文原本中的对应 成分,通过梵文来确定其意义。比如朱庆之(1991)就利用这一方法,对千年来聚讼不已的“将 无”一词做出了准确的解释。这一方法也存在某些缺陷,比如现存的佛经梵文原本有限,并非 每一部汉译佛经都能找到梵文原本;又现存梵本大都是九世纪以后的写本,比汉译佛典晚很 多,在流传中出现差讹在所难免,因此常常会出现“对不上”的情况。如上文提到的“摩何”一词 即出现在《正法华经… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | Notes on Some Words in Two Chinese Translations of the Lotus Sutra and the Sanskrit Original: A Comparative Study | | | ZHU Guan-ming DUAN Qing (Chinese Department;Peking University;Bering 100871;China) (Foreign Languages College;Peking University;Beijing 100871;China) | | | Although this approach initiated by some Chinese linguistists in these years is getting more and more attention, its significance has not been properly recognized so far. In this article we select in two Chinese translations of the Lotus Sutra some words the meanings or origins of which are obscure, and then give the explanations to them by this comparative study. Thus the great contributions which the Sanskrit texts can make toward the study of the words and expressions in the Chinese Buddhist scriptures are illustrated.
