The present paper contains the following opinions: (1)The criticism on Prof. Wang Li's(王力) researches of AC initials with homonymic materials Xiesheng Zi(谐声字) is made without reasonable basis. (2)Mai's evaluation on Chinese Historical Phonology (汉语历史音韵学) and his criticism on relevant remarks on this book are lopsided. (3)Tradition and innovation cannot be separated from each other. Innovation cannot avoid of criticism.
