Carry on artifice and eject gains, and there will be no robbers and thieves. Carry on benevolence and eject fraudulence, and the people will be like babies." This is not appropriate. The character (?) on the bamboo slips is still "do away with", and interpreting it as "carry on" doesn't accord with the characteristic of Laozi' thought. Studying the new historical materials, we still should uphold the Principle of" Double Confirming".
