| | | | | 科技英语语篇翻译的语域制约性 | | | 刘红梅 | | | 科技英语语篇属于超正式文体,要求科学、准确、严谨。运用语域理论就有可能以一种新的视角来研究科技英语语篇的翻译。译者在用词和句子结构的选择时应尽量避免主观上的选择,注重语域的正确转化,否则,原语语篇就会失去科技英语语篇的功能和特征,更谈不上其正式程度上的差异性和译文的正确性。

一、语域理论所谓语域就是指语言随着使用场合环境不同而区分的变体,是指特定的语言环境中使用的、有一定的语言特征的语言变体。语域理论在本世纪六十年代引起了广泛的注意,七十年代争论十分激烈。根据1978年韩礼德的观念,语域理论旨在揭开由情景因素、社会因素决定的语言功能和语言形式的关系。语言随着功能的变化而变化,各种情景的语言均不一样。他提出话语范围、话语方式和话语基调三个情景特征。话语范围是指某种社会行为,话语方式是指语言的表达方式,话语基调是指交际双方的关系。这三个概念分别与语义系统的表意功能、篇章功能和人际… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | Register Constraints on Translating English Texts for Science and Technology | | | LIU Hong-mei(English Department;Jiaying University;Meizhou 514015;China) | | | English Texts for Science and Technology are very hyperformal,with the requirements of scientifically-based accuracy with well-knitted structures.This paper illustrates the necessity of the register conformity of an ST to its TT in translating English texts for Science and Technology while emphasizing the functions of register theory and analyzing the constraining and constrained relations between register theory and translation.It argues that the adoption of register theory makes it possible to study translation in new perspective and also argues that translators should not make subjective choices in register,including lexical choice,syntactic choice,while paying much attention to the correct transference of register.It shows that only producing the meaning of the ST is far from faithfulness and the correct transference of the register should not be neglected,otherwise,all Engish texts for Science and Technology will lose their own features,let alone their differences of ST in levels of formality and correctness of the TT.This study concludes that the correct transference of the register is essential to the faithfulness of the TT to the original.This study attempts to be useful to translation studies.
