The eastern of Southern Zhou lies at about today's Xuzhou, Shandong Province; Southern Zhou and Southern Shao in The Book of Songs refer to the folk songs of these places. As the names of region, Southern Zhou and Southern Shao can be recalled early in Early Western Zhou, but as the names of collection of poems, almost all of the poems were finished early in the foundation of Early Western Zhou. As for the theme and the exegesis of Southern Zhou and Southern Zhao, there have always been many ambiguities. Most of them are speciosity because of the influence of ideological trend of suspending the past. This article argues: "The bells and drums" in The Cooing is used to express its original implication: grand and vigorous. "The kingdom" in The Ford refers to the kingdom of Shang Dynasty; "Duke Shao" in The BirchLeaf Pear refers to Duke Zhao Shi.
