| | | | | 大音希声,大象无形——模糊语言翻译的认知研究 | | | 邵璐 | | | 认知科学为语言的模糊性研究提供了新的视角。认知科学的翻译观认为,语用推导在言语交际中从发话者的认知角度来解决因模糊语言引起的语义模糊问题具有积极意义,这使我们既能合理地解读“难求尽意”,也能解读“不求尽意”。本文在回顾模糊性认知研究发展状况的基础上,围绕语言模糊性的语用推导机制与语际翻译机制,从理论层面阐释译者在翻译过程中所建立的模糊语言认知意识,提出文学翻译之“不隔”主张,以期对模糊语言翻译的认知研究有所推进。

One of these dimensions treats pragmatic inference as an important means with which to solve problems caused by semantic fuzziness in the communicative act. In this way we are enabled to more fully understand what “fuzzy” or “vague” language is. This paper is an attempt to study these dimensions from a cognitive perspective. After briefly looking at the present state of research in the field, it offers a cognitive discussion of the pragmatic inference apparatus involved in interlingual communication; it then proposes a re-interpretation of the Buddhist translational concept of Bu Ge or “Leaving nothing unexplained (in the act of translation)”. The purpose of the analysis and discussion is for the translator to develop a high-level cognitive awareness of fuzzy language in the translation process so that “fuzzy” translational problems can be properly solved.
