| | | | | 过去、现在和将来——大学英语语法教学的回顾、现状与展望 | | | 陈运香 | | | 自从有了外语教学以来,语法教学就一直是外语界研究的热门课题。对语法教学的观念也随着教育理论观念的变化而发生改变,如何看待语法教学在大学外语教学中的作用,不同的学者有不同的定位。褒者,有之;贬者,有之;淡化者有之,摒弃者更有之。大学外语语法教学改革应树立正确理念、针对语法教学的特色、结合语法教学现状提高语法教学的质量。过分夸大语法教学的作用有碍于学生外语综合能力的培养,而无谓地轻视语法教学会影响学生外语应用能力的良好发挥。作为大学外语教学中的一部分,语法教学理应与时俱进,只有吸取“过去”的精华,立足于“现在”的实情,才能迎接下一次辉煌的“将来”。

一、大学英语语法教学的历史回顾上世纪50年代之前,传统的语法翻译法(the Gram m ar-Translation Approach)在大多数国家的外语教学中均占统治地位,在我国也不例外。这种方法坚持语法是规定性的(prescriptive),紧扣语法条文和规则。事实上,在所谓文化大革命前(1969年之前),在中国的主要两门外语(俄语和英语)教学中一直采用语法翻译法。就大学英语而言,北京外国语学院许国璋教授在20世纪60年代初编写的《许国璋英语》就是以这一方法为指导思想的典型教材。文化大革命期间恢复外语教学以后,一时没有被认为合适的教材,就引进了《英语九百句》… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | The Past, Present & Future: Looking Back, Present Situation & Prospect of Grammar Teaching in College English | | | CHEN Yun-xiang (Foreign Language College of Shanghai Jiaotong Univercity) | | | Grammar teaching has long been a focus subject in the foreign-lan gu age circles since foreign language teaching came into being. The idea of grammar teaching is changing as the idea of modern educational theory changes, and scho lars &experts have different ideas as to what role grammar teaching should play in college foreign language teaching,and some of them praise, some criticize, some ignore and some reject it. The establishment of correct idea and the analys is of grammar-teaching present situation in response to grammar-teaching chara cteristic can provide some ideas for improving college English grammar-teaching quality. In fact over-exaggerating grammar-teaching effect can lead to a hind rance to the cultivation of students' comprehensive foreign-language ability wh ereas looking down upon grammar teaching can exert a negative effect on the good exertion of students' foreign-language ability. Grammar teaching as a part of college foreign language teaching should be equally attached importance to. Only by assimilating the strong points in the “past”and analyzing the specific sit uation in the “current times”, can the fantastic improvement of the grammar te aching in the future come.
