By employing her visual perception, and the combining of her understanding of movie with her sensitivity to language, she formed the movie techniques in her novels, such as the much employment of lenses as used in movie shooting, the technique of montage, the visible images and the movie-like displacement of novel narration. ZHANG Ai-ling established a mature paradigm of modern novels under the influences of the art of movie.
