This article makes a systematic research on the rules of turn taking in conversation in terms of turn taking, its forms and its procedures as well. Simultaneously, the author suggests some communication strategies of turn taking in conversation. This research can not only help us further our knowledge of the rules and strategies of turn taking in conversation, but also benefit us to apply them into practice so as to get a better communication result.
