一 引言语言是活生生的 ,词语是有生命的。“语言是现实的概括反映”(维果茨基 ) ,人们关于周围世界的感觉和表象是现实的第一信号 ,即具体的信号 ;而语词则是第二信号 ,即信号的信号。它是人类独有的信号。而作为第二信号的词语“是现实的抽象化和概括化”[1 ] 。英国著名科学家贝尔纳在《历史上的科学》中说 :“语言是现今依然活着的古代遗物。”人类不仅仅是生活在一个单纯的物理世界之中 ,而是生活在一个以符号为表现形式的文化世界中[2 ] 。本文所指意义即语言符号(signs)所承载的意义 :Somethingthatisconveyedorsignified;senseors… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | On the Synchro-evolution of Words and the Cultural Reality | | | YU Ping (Foreign Languages Department;Hunan Science and Technology University;Yueyang;Hunan 414000;China) | | | This paper places words back in the grand context of human history and culture to find out how words develop or change their meanings synchronically with their context.It shows that the meaning of words is closely related to its cultural background and its reality; Language,as a symbol of culture , expresses and embodies cultural reality.
