形式主义和功能主义是当代语言学两大相互对峙的学术思潮。形式主义语言学从语言的结构出发,着重对自然语言形式特征的刻画,强调语言的形式规则;功能主义则从语言的意义出发,着重对语言信息传递功能的研究,强调语言的实际运用。语言研究应以结构形式为主还是功能意义为主,语言学界历来存在着较大的分歧。早在古希腊时期,就已出现语言源于自然还是源于规约的争论。以柏拉图为代表的自然派认为语言受自然支配,倾向于对话语作语义解释;而以亚里士多德为代表的规约派则倾向于对句子作形式分析,认为形式与意义之间没有必然联系。“论争时而隐蔽,… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | On the trends impact in contemporary linguistics | | | WANG Yi - na (Beijing Normal University;Beijing 100875;China) | | | Formalism and functionalism are two distinct research trends in linguistics. After an exposition of their different linguistic theories, this paper stresses on their divergence of views and academic limitations. It claims that trends impact is advantageous to linguistic development. With different methods but similar goal, the two traditions can learn from each other and complement each other. A theoretical integration of both internal and external research is also discussed in this paper as a new academic trend.
