“翻译”在现代汉语中是个兼类词。作为名词，它指译员；作为动词，它指移译的工作。汉语最早叫“象青”（《周礼·秋官·象否》），是四方译官的总称。后改称“通译”，是经过移译使双方相通的意思。《后汉书·和帝纪》：“偏师出塞，则漠北地空；都护西指，则通译四万”。这里“通译”用作动词，后来也指译员，成了名词。到了五代，契丹设“通事”一职，由通晓华俗、华语的人担任。“通事”一词，此前也有，但是指别的职务，用来指译员，大约从这时开始。元朝周密《癸辛杂识后集·译者》称：“译，陈也；陈说内外之言皆立此传语之人以通其… | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | On Faithfalness of Translation | | | LIAO Ze-yu (The College of Liberal Arts Xinjiang Normal University;Urumqi 830054;China) | | | The Traditional translation standanrds of faithfulness, fluency and elegance were re-interpreted in this article, and especially the standard of faithfulness was given a new connotation. It reinforced the theory of translation that in order to stimulate similar responses among the readers of the translated texts as among those of the original, the text should be considered as the vasic translation unit, while both the cultural frame of reference of either language and the context should be paid attention to.
