| | | | | 理工科大学生英语词汇水平研究 | | | 马广惠 | | | 本文对我国非英语专业学生的大学英语词汇水平进行了多层面、多因素的实证研究。研究对象是我国三所高校的 133名理工科大学生。研究结果显示 ,我国学生在大学英语学习期间 ,英语词汇水平提高速度比较低。学生的大学英语词汇水平与大纲的要求尚有相当大的差距。本研究还发现 ,重点院校学生的词汇水平显著高于非重点院校的学生 ,女生的词汇水平显著高于男生。学校和性别在词汇水平上的差异 ,在很大程度上体现在中级词汇水平上。

1.引言词汇是语言重要的组成部分之一。一种语言依靠它的词汇 ,按照一定的语法规则 ,组织成有意义的语篇。词汇的重要性 ,正如广为引用的 Wilkins的名言指出的那样 :“要是没有语法 ,很多东西无法表达。要是没有词汇 ,什么东西也无法表达。”对于外语学习者来说 ,掌握所学语言的词汇 ,是提高外语水平的一个重要方面。了解学生的外语词汇水平 ,回答与此相关的问题 ,有助于我国外语教学更加有效地引导学生提高外语词汇水平。我国外语教学研究领域有一些关于学生英语词汇水平的研究 (黄人杰、冯玉柱 ,1984 ;桂诗春 ,1988;刘英凯 ,1993;肖俊洪 … | | |  推荐 CAJ下载  PDF下载 | | | CAJViewer7.0阅读器支持所有CNKI文件格式，AdobeReader仅支持PDF格式 | | | | The Study of the College English Vocabulary Proficiency of Chinese Tertiary-level Students | | | Ma Guanghui | | | This paper reports a study of the college English vocabulary proficiency of Chinese tertiary level students.The subjects are 133 students from three Chinese tertiary institutions.The results of the study indicate that the increasing rate of the students' vocabulary was low and there was a rather big gap between the vocabulary proficiency level of the students and that required by the college English teaching curriculum.The results also show that there was a significant difference in vocabulary proficiency between students from key tertiary institutions and students from ordinary tertiary institutions and between female students and male students. The difference lies largely in intermediate vocabulary.
