| | | | | 大学点悟——纽曼的启示 | | | 董云川 | | | 今天,中国大学改革呼声阵阵,发展势头强劲,然而,一些基本的认识问题并未得到很好地解决。当我们试图从经典思想中摄取教改养分时,才发现150年前纽曼关于大学是什么、大学做什么、大学培养什么人的论述是如此的具有现实意义。通过对大学的教育价值、大学的培养目标和智力训练等重要问题的讨论,我们明确了遵循教育规律,实现大学理想,继而才能有效促进社会发展的道理。

In an attempt to absorb nourishment from the classics, Newman's ideas that what the universities are, what the universities are supposed to do and what kinds of talents are to be produced are found to show some realistic significance. Discussions on educational values, train objectives and intellectual exercises cast new light on the truth that education can not promote the social development unless the rules are followed and the university ideals are realized.
