It is a part of culture as well as the carrier and the token of other cultural elements. Rhetorical phenomena are closely connected with cultural ones and they restrict and infiltrate each other. The paper emphasizes the influence of culture on rhetoric, the emergence, development and use of rhetorical means and the understanding of the cultural background.
