| | | | | 平话、湘南土话和粤北土话的归属 | | | 王福堂 | | | 本文以为广西平话、湘南土话和粤北土话是同一种方言。平话主要的语音特点是古全浊声母清化后塞音塞擦音不送气,一些土话在这方面的不同表现只是壮侗族语言和其他汉语方言影响的结果。目前平话不宜成为独立的大方言,也不宜归入其他方言(如白话),而宜作为一个特殊的土语暂不处理。

Pinhua's major phonological feature is that its ancient voiced obstruent and affrivcate initials have changed into voiceless unaspirate ones. The difference in this aspect in other varieties of Tuhua is a result of the influence from the languages of the minority ethnic groups of Zhuang-Dong and other Chinese dialects. The thesis holds that currently Pinghua ought to be treated as a special type of vernacular rather than as an independent dialectal group or as belonging to the other Chinese dialectal groups, such as Baihua.
