In over twenty years of his writing, he has been expanding the content of his proses and seeking new aesthetic patterns, which shows his broad aesthetic view and his ability to select materials. In summary, Jia's proses can be classified into five aesthetic types: autobiography, local conditions and customs, the ways of the world, deep meditation and culture. Each type correspondingly bears his life experience, his thoughts about the people in the countryside and cities and his reflections on the culture of the nation and the mankind.
